Celebrated pianist, Vivian Choi, returns to Nantucket for her third appearance and is joined by cellist, Rafael Popper-Keizer and flutist, Deborah Boldin, in an exciting program that includes solo piano works, as well as duo and trio works by Brahms, Rachmaninoff and Debussy.

Lauded for her extraordinary artistry, musical intelligence and expressive intensity, celebrated Australian pianist VIVIAN CHOI has captivated audiences around the world with gripping performances. Acclaimed by Fanfare as "an exemplar of the modern global pianist", Vivian Choi is in demand for her depth of musical insight of a diverse range of repertoire, from classical to contemporary works, presented in thoughtful and imaginative programs.

The First Prize winner of the Maria Yudina International Piano Competition in Russia, Vivian Choi has won top prizes in international competitions in Italy, the Netherlands, and Bulgaria, following her initial international recognition at the age of 13 when she won Second prize at the Città di Marsala Due Pianoforti International Piano Competition in Italy as the youngest contestant. Nationally in Australia, Vivian Choi made her concerto debut at the age of 12 as the winner of the New South Wales Secondary Schools Concerto Competition, launching her career as a concerto soloist that has taken her around the globe. Highlights of Ms. Choi's recent seasons include the US premiere of Huang Ruo's Piano Concerto with Boston Modern Orchestra Project, tours of The People's Republic of China, New Zealand, Slovenia and Croatia as part of the Imago Sloveniae Festival, the International Celebration of Music at the Sydney Town Hall, the Portland International Music Festival and the Piano Future Festival in the USA. Upcoming engagements include the world premiere of Kate Moore's Piano Concerto in Australia, debut at the Muziekgebouw in Amsterdam, and continued regular appearances as a resident pianist with the famed Chameleon Arts Ensemble of Boston.
